About each of us:
Shem
Full time student, full time daddy; working toward his Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering at ASU. He is incredibly smart when it comes to fixing things and finding solutions. Makes sense he's going to be an engineer! He is a good rock-climber, snowboarder, wake boarder, golfer, and anything that has to do with water. When I ask him to fix something, he fixes it. When I ask him to get me something, he gets it. He is good man. I am so lucky to have him as a husband and best friend. Another bonus: he's a hottie.
Andrea
That's me :) I'm a full-time mommy, wife, and nurse. I'm in love with the greatest man I know. I love being a mommy, snowboarding, rock-climbing, hiking, piano (specifically classical piano), decorating my home, floral arranging, sunsets, watching the night sky, cooking or baking, eating sweets, movies, photography, music, and working as a nurse. I also love the Savior and going to the temple.
Maycee
The center of Shem and mine's universe! She is 4 years old and has such a sweet spirit. She is mature for her age and makes everyone feel special. She loves mermaids, animals (especially dogs), to play barbies, watch disney movies, play outside, pester our lovebird, Jax, posing in front of the camera, say prayers by herself, helping in the kitchen, coloring/drawing, playing games, spending time with her grandparents and giving lots of hugs and kisses. She is a preschooler and can't wait to be a big sister someday. She is always talking about her baby sister or baby brother and picks out clothes in the baby section regularly stating, "let's get this when I have a baby sister/brother"..
Us as a family:
We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We believe that families can be together forever. We were sealed as a family on December 21, 2012. We believe that being sealed as a family will keep us linked together when we leave this life and keep us together for eternity. This family blog is intended as a journal for us and as a reminder to focus on family and live Christ-centered lives.
Our story:
Shem and I met in February 2009.
We liked each other A LOT the moment we met.
We were married 8.6.09
It was one of the best days of our lives.
Our daughter, Maycee was born on 2.8.10
Another one of the best days of our lives.
We were sealed as a forever family on 12.21.12 in the LDS Mesa Temple.
