Never-ending madness

I love life. I love life, yes I do. But times like the last 6 months, makes me doubt. Life is hard. I know there are others out there with a tougher living situation or trials, so this is not a "wo is me" post. I just cannot keep myself upbeat every second of everyday. Today we went to church and intended on being there for all three hours. Well, like every other Sunday lately, Maycee was a GRUMP. I cannot understand why at church she seems a hundred times worse than when we are at home. The most embarrassing thing is when she throws tantrums when I do not give her what she wants.  This entails screaming or throwing her body to the ground like she's in agony.  Let's just say, she displayed these both to perfection.  So, Shem very kindly went home with her half way through the 2nd hour to put her down for a nap and I was able to stay at church through the 3rd hour.  I am thankful for Shem for doing this.  Church was wonderful, other than Maycee and her little episodes.  I don't know what things will be like after getting a calling.

Even though it is hard dealing with May, her little personality is so adorable.  This little independent soul that comes out is just a part of the package.  Truly, I believe that the ability to express one's self and show emotion is not a learned behavior.  So far, from the little spirit I've observed in her, she is going to be a nurturing mother, a fun-loving big sister, a leader, happy, smiley, sensitive to the spirit, musically gifted, and a DRAMA QUEEN (after her mother).  All I can say is I love this little angel who was sent to Shem and me.  She really is special!

Moving on....Our little "vacation" will be over after tomorrow.  I start my online English class on Tuesday and Shem will be on campus for the next 5 weeks 12 hours a day, 4 days a week.  Yeah, it's like worse than a full time job.  He is going to go crazy and so will I, being stuck at school and stuck at home for so long.  The saddest thing is Shem will rarely get to see Maycee.  She will be in bed by the time he gets home every night.  He's sad, but at least he has three days in between to be with her!  My online class is going to be really intense, so I may not be blogging as much as I'd like.  Goodness, I really wish I was a stay at home mom 100% of the time so I could do all the blogging/photography/crafting that I want and not have to worry about school work.  Only 18 more months left of this....I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....

I have a few photos I'd like to add to this post of random stuff.  I will get them on here when I have time, probably tomorrow night.  Good night.

Our three week vacay!

Yep! We made it alive through finals and it was a tough week. Let me begin by saying Shem successfully passed all his classes and I made it out of Block I with a B! Wow, let me just say this is A M A Z I N G!!! For real! The grading scale is different than traditional college classes, meaning a passing grade is 76% or higher. So, receiving a B (greater than 84%) is GRRRRRE-ATE!! This Spring semester was THE hardest semester of school I have yet experienced, and Shem feels the same way about his semester. Maycee has gotten sick consistently since January, we both have gained stress weight, we have not been organized since I can't even remember, and we moved 2 weeks prior to finals. And the list goes on, but these were the ones that have stuck out. Addressing each of these problems, we are finally feeling more "with it" mentally. You know the practice of fung shei in your home? Yeah, that is my goal this summer..well the things I have control over. I'm sick of clutter!!!! It makes my mind cluttered! Today I began the uncluttering process. I even plan on getting rid of all my old clothes from high school. Who needs 6 year old clothes? Yeah, I have pants that are from my sophomore year! What's up with that?? D.I., here I come!!

Since we are both attending summer semester, we are making the most out of our homework-free "vacay" stuck here at home. haha, we are laammee! The best part is being a full time mommy again! I really love being a mommy. It has been hard the last 5 months passing little M off to others. :( Another thing, I've FINALLY begun doing is sorting our gazillion photos. I will posting photos much more over the next few months. Maycee is growing fast! Gotta keep documenting!

A Backyard:
It is so fun for Maycee to be able to play with Sadie. It is so cute! Maycee will throw the ball for her. She's really good at it! Oh and this very day I took these pictures, I had discovered Maycee on all fours licking out of Sadies water dish! Either she was really thirsty or she is part puppy.  I couldn't believe it!

Mother's Day:
Shem got these gorgeous HOT pink roses!  They were unbelievably gorgeous!  He's a pro at picking out flowers.  And although, Maycee was a sick girl, I dressed her up and got a few snap shots of her and I.  Luckily I could get her to giggle!  I loved taking care of my sick girl on Mother's Day.  It was a fabulous day. :)

Still Mother's Day...She loves these shell necklaces.  Not only does she put these on all the time, she also finds mommy's necklaces and wears them too!  Such a little lady!

I love my gorgeous baby girl.  She's such a sweetheart and so loving.  More fun pictures coming!!!

randomables

It's official...I'm re-doing our entire blog. I am a perfectionist and every time I get on here, I want to change something. So, I don't know where to go from here, but our blog will look different very soon. Oh, and I'm only blogging because I cannot focus with all this studying! In less than 24 hours I will have completed my first block of nursing school and be 3 semesters closer to being an RN. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know and how much there is to learn all before practicing as a nurse. Next semester I will be at Banner Baywood doing med-surg...I'm hoping to find what I may want to pursue. Geriatrics was fun this semester, but still looking for what is it I really have a passion for.

And this week is going to be very hectic, not to mention, Maycee is still sick (has been since Thursday night). The poor girl has been crying about EVERYTHING. If her footing is a little off while walking, she sits down, starts crying, and looks up at mommy or daddy. She is so sweet when she's sick, but I miss the energetic little thing she normally is. She has been sick off and on since school started back in January. And the worst thing is, we have yet to get her back on insurance. Hopefully once I'm out of school, I can take care of our family and get us all covered once again. Although, little Maycee has the advantage, considering she starts crying when we've gone to see the doctor in the past. So, I'm sure if she could talk, she'd be expressing how happy she is that she doesn't have to see any of the "nice" workers in the doctor's office.

Mother's Day. Well, it was a great day, but it definitely did not entitle me any time off from being a mom. haha, I always imagined on Mother's Day my husband would do everything for me and I'd get to lounge around the house without a care in the world. REALITY CHECK: This is not for real and never will be unless you married the perfect man. I'm not complaining, I love being a mother. I love having a husband to share the load. I love having a little innocent child depending on me to care for her. She is a gift from Heavenly Father and I believe she came to us for so many reasons that I feel so blessed for. Although, I did not plan on having a child when I did, I realize it is the best thing that could have happened in my life.

Reasons why Maycee was sent to Shem and me:
1. Too cute for words.
2. Learn selflessness.
3. Learn unconditional love.
4. Teach Shem how to correctly change diapers. hehe
5. Teach me how to paint tiny toenails and buy little girl clothes for a reasonable price. (Sometimes I falter)
6. Learn more of the Atonement.
7. Learn the divinity of parenthood.
8. Further motivation to be sealed as a family for time and eternity.
9. Money management. (No more designer makeup or monthly pedicures)
10. Humility.

And the list goes on. Really, I could write all day for the many things we have learned and have yet to learn as parents. Back to motherhood, there is nothing that compares and nothing as divine here on Earth. Never did I imagine two years ago I would have this sweet little girl to care for. I love her with all my heart and the person she has helped me become. Dear little Maycee, you are an angel.
